At Healthcare TV Company we value our customers’ right to privacy and personal choice. Therefore, to comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we made a number of changes to our privacy policy. This is to ensure our customers are aware and in control of the personal data we store and process.

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection for all individuals within the European Union. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data. It also aims to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.

How we have prepared?

To ensure that we are compliant with the new GDPR regulations, we  increased our efforts towards better security and transparency in our ways of data collection. Some of our initiatives ensure:

  • Right to Control Your Data – as a business-to-business technology provider, we identify, collect and store data about business customers with their explicit consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent to our data processing at any time
  • Right to Access Your Data – the data we store consists of, but is not limited to, your first and last name, work email address, work phone number, company name and address. You have the right to request a copy of your personal information we have about you
  • Opt-in consent – we provide a more transparent way to obtain consent for our marketing communications. Therefore, we will not add you to any of our mailing lists without your permission. If you wish to receive our monthly updates, you have the choice to opt-in. You can do so at any time by subscribing on our website or emailing us on info@healthcaretvcompany.co.uk

How we collect your data?

Healthcare TV Company collects business data from our B2B website by users filling in our subscription form and by opting in on our contact form. Furthermore, we may purchase some of the data we use from third party data dealers to which you have given your explicit consent. However, we will not collect personal information about you without your permission. To subscribe, please email us on info@healthcaretvcompany.co.uk or opt in on our website form.

All existing subscribers, acquired prior to GDPR coming into force, are also given the choice to confirm their subscription or unsubscribe.

How we store your data?

We store and process all data that we use for promotional marketing, within our Zoho CRM database. Some marketing data segments are transferred from Zoho CRM to Mailchimp for the sole purpose of targeted email marketing. We do not pass data onto any third party companies with the exception of Zoho CRM, where we store your data, Mailchimp, where we undergo our email marketing, and KashFlow, where we process payments. 

How we process your data?

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices. In other words, we make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. We also ensure that Zoho CRM and Mailchimp are GDPR Compliant prior to adding any customer data on these platforms.

How can you access your data?

The business data that we collect and store on our Zoho CRM platform consists of, but is not limited to:

  • First and last name
  • Workplace email address
  • Workplace phone number
  • Company name and address

You can request to access the information that we store about you by emailing us on info@healthcaretvcompany.co.uk, by calling us on 0844 870 8908 or by filling in our contact form online (https://www.healthcaretvcompany.co.uk/contact/).

Our team will, then, provide you with all the information that we hold of you. You can decide whether you wish this information to be updated or deleted. Likewise, you can opt-out of our promotional database at any time by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ at the bottom of our promotional emails, sending an e-mail to info@healthcaretvcompany.co.uk with your request to unsubscribe or mailing us at:
